I left school when I was 16 and went to work in a builders yard. It was tough, but it taught me the values of hard work.

I got into facilities working over 10 years ago, completing various one-off cleans which I really enjoyed. The satisfaction of seeing a high quality, finished job gave me a real sense of accomplishment.

I soon got into an industrial cleaning role for a large automotive site for over 5 years, which I then went on to supervise and manage. From there, I went into working as an area supervisor for a facilities company, supporting an area manager on over fifty sites.

When a full-time opportunity came up for Fidelis, I came aboard as a supervisor for IAC where I stayed for 18 months.  This gave me the opportunity to learn about Fidelis as a business and understand their culture, ethos and processes.

I got involved with implementing change, managing a team and I even got involved in their marketing to show off how great our people are! I was also awarded for Outstanding Contribution at Fidelis’ 5 year anniversary.

Since being at Fidelis, I have learnt a lot about the business and how different it is to any other company!

Looking after our people, understanding their needs and continuing to drive them forward to watch them grow and become part of the family is a unique thing to see.

Recent Promotions

After applying and being interviewed for the role, I was promoted to Contracts Manager in 2017. I am now on the front line, able to assist customers directly with my passion for developing the teams that I look after.

I have learned lots from the Management team, and have already gained my British Institute of Cleaning Sciences License to practice, making me Ryan Halford PBICSc.

My Aspirations

In five years, I see myself as Head of Operations. I know this because of the people around me encouraging me and mentoring me to succeed.

Relationships are everything to us and making sure our customer relations are unconditional is who we are. Our customers know this, and this is the reason we have not only the professional, but the personal touch. It feels great to be part of this amazing adventure.
