How long have you been with Fidelis?

I joined Fidelis in 2015 as a part of the Administration team before moving to our Finance department in early 2016.

 

Describe your role in one sentence

Within my role I am responsible for payroll administration, management accounting, and other aspects of finance, helping to ensure things run smoothly for the company, our employees and clients.

 

Why did you feel Fidelis was the right place for you?

I decided to join Fidelis as they share many of the same values as myself. Their company culture is all about supporting their employees, providing them with flexibility, a diverse workplace and opportunities for both personal and professional development.

What does a typical day look like for you?

Due to my ranging responsibilities, no two days are the same. One day I could be working on payroll administration and the next working on management accounting, customer engagement or invoicing.

 

What is the most challenging element of your role?

Working in finance, there can be some challenges as some things are out of my control, such as accounts being paid on time etc.

 

 What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

The most enjoyable part of my job role is knowing that our employees are happy, helping to create a productive workplace where people enjoy coming to work, which in turn helps to ensure our clients always have the best experience and service with us.

 

Do you think that Fidelis and your current role has enhanced your personal development? If so, how?

I joined Fidelis in 2015 as a part of the administration team. After management recognised my accounting abilities, they helped me transition into the Finance Team, where I was able to put my skills to use supported with training, which supported both my professional and personal growth.

 

How would you describe Fidelis to a friend?
